Strange Pictures by Uketsu

My thoughts
A colleague recommended this book to me and since I haven't read a Japanese murder mystery yet, I was lucky to find it available on Libby. I really enjoyed this strange book with such normal, yet such weird characters. I loved the style of the writing and the way the story was told. Would read another one like this again if I get the chance!
What is this book about?
This book introduces you to three different stories, seemingly unrelated, in different times and with different characters. In each story, pictures play a role, whether they're just art, got a different and more sinister meaning, or maybe they have been interpreted in a deep meaningful way that's completely wrong. Either way, to solve the murder mystery that is this book, the pictures play a critical role.
It starts with a child's drawing that a teacher reads deeper meaning to, then a student tries to read more into a blog post with strange drawings that just seems off, to a sketch found in the pocket of a murdered man. How do these stories and pictures connect to ultimately solve a murder?
